The City of Cañon City is working on converting to a new utility billing system.
This requires taking down the current system. The current online portal and IVR (phone) payment systems will be taken down at 8:00 a.m. Monday, April 28, 2025. The new online portal and IVR payment systems will be available starting at 8:00 a.m. Friday, May 2, 2025. During this downtime, card payments cannot be made online or in-person, but utility payments can be made in person at City Hall by cash or check or mailed in. *Due to unforeseen circumstances, the City’s new utility billing system will not be live until Monday, May 5, 2025.
The City’s online use tax system will also be taken down on Monday, April 28, 2025. The new online system for use tax is anticipated to be implemented by June 15, 2025. Payments will need to be made by cash or check at City Hall during this downtime. Payments can also be mailed to PO Box 1460, Cañon City, CO 81215-1460.
The new utility billing online card payment link and phone number will be updated on the City’s website at https://www.canoncity.org/429/Utility-Billing on Friday, May 2, 2025 once the new system is up and running. The new use tax online card payment link will be updated on the City’s website at https://www.canoncity.org/428-SalesUse-Tax as soon as that information is available.
Please note that utility billing payments made by mail will have a new remittance address. This information will be updated on the utility bills.
